For this month’s Founders Series, we have the privilege of delving into the visionary mind of Dr. Julia Reisser, the brilliant founder of ULUU, an innovative company dedicated to sustainable material development. Dr.Reisser shares her journey from being an Oceanographer studying plastic pollution to founding ULUU. For this Founders Series, we are excited to interview the founder of OneFishTwoFish, Dr. Chris Gillies! OneFishTwoFish is part of Seafood Positive, an initiative to restore ocean habitat and fish stocks. It effectively builds a circular economy model for fisheries through a subscription-based model.

Surfers for Climate empowers and educates the surf community about the climate crisis and how it can be a powerful force behind the fight against climate change! The surf community is a large and passionate group encompassing people from all sectors. Through various community programs and campaigns, Surfers for Climate aims to mobilise surfers for climate policy advocacy and to promote sustainable surfing.

We are thrilled to have The State Clean Electricity Transition Tracker India (Scetti) in our cohort this year! Scetti is a tracker dashboard that effectively collates data on each State’s technical, financial, and policy data into one verified resource to accelerate a transition from coal. Scetti is the first tool of its kind to aggregate these data sources into one platform to enable a smooth transition into renewable energy.

For this cohort blog, we have interviewed the CEO of Australian Parents for Climate Action (Parents for Climate), Nic Seton! Nic joined Australian Parents for Climate Action in 2021 after fifteen years of campaign management experience. Parents for Climate engages and empowers Australian parents to advocate for climate action. The organisation provides the tools and resources for parents and families to make a dent in climate action.

We are thrilled to have Wildlife.ai in our second cohort! As we all know and understand now, the climate and biodiversity crises can't be tackled as separate things. Wildlife.ai uses artificial intelligence to speed up wildlife conservation. It fast-tracks data processing by integrating citizen science and machine learning in conservation monitoring.
